National Day of Mongolia

The Qing Dynasty was in decline at the time. This allowed Mongolia to become more autonomous. Then in 1911, the Xinhai Revolution in China led to the fall of the Qing Dynasty, and Mongolia declared its independence. This did not last long as it soon fell under the Russian influence. So in 1921, a revolution led by the Mongolian People’s Party and supported by Soviet Russia resulted in the establishment of the Mongolian People’s Republic. In 1990, a peaceful democratic revolution led to the adoption of a new constitution, which established Mongolia as a parliamentary republic. As you know the Naadam Festival is a celebration of the three traditional sports of Mongolia: horse racing, wrestling, and archery. now these three sports are considered to be the “three games of men” and are a symbol of Mongolian courage, strength, and skill. During the festival, there are competitions and performances of these sports in various locations throughout the country.

In addition to the sports events, Naadam Festival also includes cultural activities such as music, dance, and traditional Mongolian cuisine. The festival is a time for people to come together and celebrate their national pride and identity.
